More about the cardigan

The cardigan is a beautiful and elegant oversized cardigan featuring cables, ribbed edges, and a double-knitted button placket. The cardigan is knitted top-down. The work begins with the upper back, where short rows are worked to shape the neckline and ensure a good fit. Then, the shoulders are worked separately before the front and back pieces are joined for the body, which is worked back and forth. The sleeves are knitted in the round. Finally, the button plackets are worked along the front edges, followed by a folded neckline.

Suggested needles: 4 mm circular needles (80 or 100 cm), 3 mm circular needles (40, 80 or 100 cm).

Gauge: 26 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm using 4 mm needles in cable pattern. 20 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm using 4 mm needles in seed stitch.
